Low end Denon vs. high end Denon

I'm looking to spend $3-400 on a new AV receiver. I made an offer online for a Denon avr-3300 and haven't heard back from the individual yet. I was also looking at new 1802 & 1602's. I like the Denon sound so I would like to stick with that brand. Anyone have any suggestions for me? The individual with the 3300 says the low end Denon's are actually made by Hitachi. Does this make any difference? Instead of me spending hours going through the features and specs comparing them, I would appreciate if anyone who has knowledge of the brand and/or models mentioned share it. Thanks...

I hadn't ever heard that before, but, somehow doubt it. I have an 1800 that is a couple years old....ditto what wango said, I like mine.

Maybe the guy is talking about the Denon models that they sell at places like Sears......those are a different line. I still have my doubts, though.

thanks, guys. Anyone out there have a 3300? I know it is a discontinued model now.

I actually spoke to Denon CS about that...according to them, they are built by Denon. Just different model #'s. In my case the AVR-87 is the AVR-1800
