Crossover - 150 or 200?

From a newbie (its going to get obvious fast)
I just bought a Pioneer 814 and Polk's new rms6750. The AVR has 100-150-200 crossover settings. I set that to 200 cause I read it somewhere to do that...
I have set all speakers to small (naturally) and hooked the sub to the AVR's preout using a sub cable with an adapter that goes into both RCA jacks on the sub. Did I get it right?:(

If you have the front and rear speakers wired directly into the AVR I believe you should set the AVR X-over to 100. If you are running the speaker output to the sub and then to the speakers you should disable the AVR X-over and use the sub's internal x-over (assuming the sub has that feature).
Good luck and welcome!! -
Seems like you are one track...
Your satellites are small, so you may need to go higher than 100 for the x-over setting, but 200 seems too high.
Try all three settings, repeating the same scene from a DVD and see what sounds best to you.

Thanks for the information and the welcome!
The sub does have a phase control (is that the crossover control with a different name?) and a volume control. Anyways, I will try different permutations and hear which is best. This is a very helpful forum; thanks Mr. Polk! -
Welcome.
The phase control is not the crossover.
