Rvcr Lfe Out To Polk Psw650 Lfe In . . .

if I hook up my Polk LFE to the rcvr via the rcvr's LFE line level output to the 650's sub-input, will this cause double-filtering, ie, is the 650's LFE in unfiltered, therefore, bypassing the variable cross-over filter on the sub?

Note that I will soon be using a pair of 800i's as my front spkrs.

Thanks!

LFE In on the sub bypasses the variable low pass filter.

I have a 650 and a pair of 800i's. I recommend you try both speaker ins and the LFE in. My 650 sounds much better with the speaker ins instead of using the receiver's sub-out because the filtering was too high for my liking. If your receiver sends filtered signals to the sub then you may have a hard time getting your sub to blend with your mains because the crossover on the sub is useless in that configuration.
