Just posted this on the AVS forum as well. I remember one of the users here having the $99 processor I mention below:

Working on a fun little project to try to come up with a killer home theater for the least amount of money possible. I love trying to do this stuff!

Building a 5 channel amp now and total cost will be under $150. I need something to feed it a signal and was wondering if you guys know of any CHEAP ways to feed it a Dolby Digital 5 RCA output (DTS would be a plus). I remember seeing a small black box about 6 months ago but I forget who made it, and it retailed for $99 with 5.1 outputs. That would be cool. Or if you guys know of a few receivers that I could pick up used that usually sell cheap that would work as well.

Trying to keep the whole package, with DiY speakers, under $500!

Thanks a million! You guys never seem to fail me, so don't fail me now :D

    Klipsch ProMedia DD-5.1 ,
Creative has one too (Creative® Decoder DDTS-100), more inputs but more money too (~350).

    Good luck
