Anthem A5 Amp. & LSi15
I'm in the process of updating my equipment and was thinking of purchasing the Anthem A2 and A5 amps and using my Denon 3805 as the preamp. Next spring I hope to also purchase the Anthem D1 preamp. Have any of you listened to the Anthem and LSi combination? Would you think this is a good match? Please post any thoughts.

perhaps this is a hypocritical statement because i'm driving my 9's with a parasound hca-3500, but I think the particular anthem amps you are looking at will be overkill for the Lsi series. Something from the PVA or MCA series will probably do you just as well if you want to stick with anthem. You can spend the money elsewhere

The entire Anthem series is solid. I really like the Statement series personally, but Ceruleance is right, you can't go wrong with the other line.
I've heard a few pieces from them and they are very nice across the board.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
If I was to go with the P series of Anthem Statement amp I would agree that would be overkill. The Anthem Rep. was visiting a local store in my area, and I got a chance to speak to him. I was told that the PVA amps would only output 140w at 4 ohms all channels driven. The A series is the very same internally as the MCA series. Both output 300w for the 2 channel and 265w for the 5 channel. The added cost is pretty much for the cosmetics. I really do like the A series look vs. the MCA. I'm working out a deal with them as we speak and look forward to telling you thoughts after I listen to them. Thanks for your remarks.Anthem A5 Amp.

I had an Anthem PVA7 in my HT for a couple of weeks before deciding on the Outlaw7100. The Anthem amp has okay, but nothing to write home about. The Outlaw sounds better to my ears.
