Just bought a pair of LSi9s. What a pair of "ears." Anyone want to buy my Sony subwoofer? I don't need it (nor my RSi6s). Incredible!!!!
Great job "Polk folk." I've been listening to them for six hours straight. No fatigue, or anything. Truly awesome :-)

JBlack,
Just curious.. what was is about the LSi9's that made you take em home? Was it their sound, price, Polk reputation, etc?
Polk Audio has a long tradition of great sounding speakers... and the LSi series continues that.
Oh yeah.. welcome to the club Polk forums.

[Jim] First, I did enjoy my RSi6s coupled with the Sony Subwoofer. But then I read a review about the 9s and they aroused my interest. I listened to a pair at Sound Advice and couldn't believe what I heard. The sound "opened up" as the midrange was noticeably greater than the 6s. The ring radiator seemed to add more clarity and detail. But I did not expect the bass to be what it is. You do not need a subwoofer with a pair of 9s!!!! I suppose for those low and loud notes it might be nice, but you definitey can live without the SW.
Also, the price was right. The 9s were listed at a price lower than what I had seen, and on top of that they gave a 15% discount. I'll probably go to Ebay and try to sell the Sony and 6s.

[Jim] Great to be numbered with the "Polk Folk." -

Just a hint, but offer them up to people on the forum through the flea market before you sell on ebay. That way you won't have to pay any fees, and you can help someone else out that may want some of the goods.
Enjoy your 9's, I know I enjoy my 7's(although a subwoofer does help the 7's out quite a bit more).Tschüss
