I know that it will not be a big loss to this forum, but as of now I offically quit. I can not be associated with a group of people that treat another human beings death so lightly and even with amusement. I have had some good times on this forum but I feel that when people start talking about the death of another human being with derision, then it is time for me to quit hanging out with that group of people. I have always respected Yassar Arafat as a hard working diplomat that has struggled to achieve certain objectives that I feel would greatly benefit the human race. Also, even if I do not particularly like the artistic endeavors of Old Dirty ****, nonetheless he was a human being that worked hard to produce a body of work that a lot of people in our modern society can relate to. You guys are sick if you think that death is funny and that human beings have to be just like you in order to be productive and creative people.
Thanks for all the fish,

I know this is definitely delving into the political here, but this is not political opinion; it's fact. Yassir Arafat could probably be considered the father of modern terrorism. The man slaughtered hundreds of people merely for their religious beliefs. On one memorable occasion a group of his "diplomats" went into a grade school and took the entire school hostage. After "negotiations" failed, I think 45 people ended up dead. More than 40 of those were children.
Such a wonderful diplomat though. I think you should find some different "world leaders" to look up to. Why don't you find some Jewish friends, and see how they feel about Mr. Arafat?
Some people are better off dead.
As for ODB, I personally don't even know who he was outside of reputation, but his reputation is that of a demented criminal, and initial reports are that he died of drugs. Doesn't sound like much of an upstanding member of the community to me. Maybe my tax bill will go down now that I don't have to fund his monthly court appearances and jail time.
Just my 2 cents. Not as PC as some would like I'm sure, but not everyone deserves the respect you seem to think, dead OR alive. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

I SO want to go effing nuts on this thread, but I don't want to engage in a huge shouting match and face the wrath of Justin.
ODB...buh bye! You were a real inspiration and role model!
<<<Over the years, he was wounded in shootings and arrested on a veritable laundry list of charges, including menacing security officers, illegally possessing body armor, driving with a suspended license, shoplifting and threatening a former girlfriend.
In 2000, after escaping a court-ordered stint in a California rehabilitation center, authorities searched for him for a month. He was finally arrested in Philadelphia - three days after performing in a New York City concert with his Wu-Tang clique.
He was sentenced in 2001 to two to four years in prison for drug possession, plus two concurrent years for escaping from the clinic. He was released in 2003 and immediately signed with Roc-a-Fella.>>>
From the time we're born, we're destined to die.

Thank you John for shedding a little light on the uninformed of the true character and upstanding human being that ODB was.
Here's a little info on the "hard working diplomat." He was worth an estimated 300 million dollars, the 6th richest "dignitary" in the world! And yet his own people have nothing because he was a self centered egomaniac. The only thing he worked hard at was lining his own pockets and seeing his face on TV. After years and years of terrorism and murder by his hands were we just suppose to forgive him??? Well, everybody deserves a second chance I suppose and he could have been somebody, he could have actually brought peace to the region, but NO! He was a evil person and in the end could not change that fact. The world is a better place without him.Political Correctness'.........defined

I think that an opinion is just like an A$$hole, almost everybody has one. I feel that a lot of the things said here are effed up. This is not the first time that I read something effed up on this forum. You don't hear negetive things said about these heavy metal artist that snort coke and worship the devil or are homosexuals.
You don't know what ODB went through growing up in the slums of a big city. He has done wrong in life and made bad choices, but that's no reason to make fun of a human beings death. This guy had several kids and a family that loved him just like your families love you. Call me crazy, but that was in bad taste. I don't think you're stepping on toes -- you're expressing your opinion which you have every right to do. Obviously some of the things that were said can be deemed offensive, but at the same time, there's no reason to be so damned sensitive either. No matter what forum you're on, you're going to read soemthing you don't agree with, or that you consider "effed up." That's the point of having these kinds of discussions though. If we all just agreed on everything it would be pretty boring.
As to the content of the argument.... Look, you seem to be one of many people in our society who think that everyone should be treated equally, and that nothing is anyone's fault. Personally, I don't care how his childhood was, or that his family or children loved him (which I seriously doubt, btw). Some people are BAD PEOPLE. He was one of those people. In fact both of the people mentioned in this thread (ODB and Arafat) were simply bad people. And no matter how they became bad people, they made a personal decision at some point in their lives to continue down that path, and at some point it is their fault that they ended innocent lives, or committed crimes or otherwise made life for others a more miserable experience. What, just because someone had a bad childhood, they should be given a free pass in life? "Oh, your parents beat you as a child? You grew up in teh ghetto? Oh, then we won't punish you for killing all those people. It's ok that ou raped that girl. You had a bad childhood. No problem. Continue ruining the world, we'll all feel bad for you, adn we'll never say anything bad about you because that might offend someone."
Two bad people, neither did anything to redeem themselves, and then they died. Considering the things I've said above, I'm not upset that they died, nor do I feel bad mocking their departure from this world, because the world is now a better place.
As for some "heavy metal artist that snorts coke and worships the devil and is homosexual".... not one of those things affects the lives of those around that person. If you want to sit in your house, snort coke and worship the devil and bang dudes all day, well have a blast, so long as you're not hurting anyone. THe people mentioned in this thread hurt others knowingly and willingly (and repeatedly). So, like many have said above, farewell to them, and we're better off. You don't have to say it, or even like it, but it's still the truth. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

You never heard me say that he was a "good person" or that I thought that a criminal should be treated equal to good, hard working, honest citizens. I also never said that the **** he did was not his fault. All I'm saying is that if you had a family member that you loved, you wouldn't like it if people said they were better off dead. That is just my opinion once again. By the way, you don't know me or what kind of person I am. As far as faggots and coke heads go they do plenty of harm to their loved ones and everyone around them. ODB did his time and had not been back to jail since.
This is really a cool forum, and I am not asking you or any other person to agree with me, and I really don't care if you do or not. I am doing just like you, stating my opinion. I grew up in the ghetto on the south side of Chicago and I never was in a gang or never have I been locked up, so I am not blaming society for the wrong ODB did. He was a menace, but he still was person. All I am saying is that I feel that a life is valuable, unless you kill someone for some sick reason, then that **** deserves to get to sleep with the maggots. Well, I respect your opinion and I hope you respect mine as well.

LOL, of course. And of course I didn't mean to put words in your mouth or insinuate how you would judge something. When arguing my opinion I tend to go a little overboard I guess None of this stuff is personal ....If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
Thanks man, I am glad to hear that. Well we had us a little moment there!:D
