If I use the preamp to produce more power to the front speaker
what will happen when I watch movie with 7.1 surrounded mode?
Do I have to unplug speakers cable from Carver and connect with
HK Avr 7300?or any other option?

if you have adjusted your speakers levels using your sound meter it shouldn't make a difference

    Hello PT,

If your front speakers can be bi-amped and your receiver still sends power to its amp section when using the pre-outs you can run one set of speaker wires from the Carver to the speakers bottom set of connectors and the speaker wires from the receiver to the top set of binding posts on the speaker, be sure you remove any jumpers from the speakers.

Or you can just use the pre-outs on the receiver to the Carver then run your front left and right mains with it and use the receiver to run the other five speakers. No need to unhook anything.

A little more info about the entire system, speaker types would be helpful.

    And welcome to Club Polk.

    PT7,
Simmer down... Speaker calibration is a given in HT set up. Calibrating will insure that your beefed up mains, be they on the Carver alone or in a bi-amp arrangement on your 12's, are balanced at one SPL with the rest of your HT speakers on the HK's other channels.

That said, there's no guarantee that the Carver's response curve to changes in input voltages is identical to your HK's amp section. In fact I can guarantee it's not identical. What matters is whether or not you can hear any differences. Its highly unlikely that you will, but there is only one way to be sure...

Not the first time, won't be the last.

Gregit, steered you correctly. Here's a link to a thread on calibrating your HT.

Take a look at it, paying particular attention to Doc Spec's posts, and if you have specific questions, post them here...

    1. Showing a bit of respect goes a long way, especially if you're asking for help. The "tone" of your posts is somewhat rude.

    2. Your questions were indeed answered, perhaps you just don't understand the answers.

    Have a happy turkey day....

    Ok, here goes......

Your HK acts as a preamp and you can set the speaker level for each of your channels in there somewhere. This will allow the same volume to be heard from each speaker reguardless of speaker efficiency or amplifier power.

Hook your amp up to the pre-outputs on your HK.

Hook your main speakers up to the carver amp.

Hook all your other speakers up to the HK.

Get a spl meter from radio shack and use the speaker level tones built into your HK to make all the speakers play at the same volume.

    Eat lots of turkey.

Fall asleep watching the movie of your choice.

    Wake up

    switch movies

    make a snack

    fall asleep

    repeat as neccesary.

    Have a great thanksgiving,

As your from New York, I will cut you some slack.

    Assuming the following:

    1) DVD to HK AVR via digital cable
    2) HK AVR left/right PreOuts to Carver Amp via anaolog cables
    3) Center/Left Surround/Right Suround speakers connected to HK AVR outputs
    4) Left/Right speakers connected to Carver Amp outputs

    This is what happens:

    1) Dolby Digital signal gets sent from DVD player to HK AVR
    2) HK AVR decodes signal into 5 signals
    3) HK AVR processes and balances signals
    4) HK AVR sends signals to internal amps for speakers and sends signals to pre-outs on back

5a 1) HK AVR internal signals from amplifiers amplified and sent to Center/Left Surround/Right Suround speaker outputs
5a 2) HK AVR output amplified signals run through speaker wires and speakers Center/Left Surround/Right Suround make noise

5b 1) signals run from HK AVR left/right PreOuts through analog cables to Carver Amp left/right inputs
5b 2) Carver Amp amplifies left/right signals and sends them to left/right speaker outputs
5a 3) Carver Amp output amplified signals run through speaker wires and speakers Left/Right make noise

    I hope I didn't make any mistakes.

PS. and do what McLoki said :)

Yes, your questions WERE answered. If you don't understand what was said, say 'I don't understand'. There is no harm in that.

Otherwise, don't bother asking questions and we won't bother trying to help you with them.
