OK....so I see that some on thiss forum use power conditioners for their systems. I guess I can undertsand thier purpose (i.e. a constant power level for your system), but the ones I have seen or in the range of $1000 or more. This seems like a very expensive piece of equipment for what you get. For those who have them, have you noticed a big difference in sound quality since you installed it onto your system? It just seems very expensive and not really worth it. Any thoughts?

I've got one of these being drop shipped from the factory. They can be had (new) for 20-25% below MSRP. Passive power cleaning, one way noise gate, two isolated zones for equipment, surge protection:
PS Audio APC-200 -
No, but that isn't why I bought my HTS-5100. I wanted surge protection, and alot of outlets, the power conditioning is just a side effect.
The PS Audio is a good suggestion. It's about time they sell something that is actually priced outside the twilight zone.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Nice choice on the PS Audio BMDP. AS mentioned the plugs, ability to turn gear on/off in a certain order is a nice feature. I did notice a better video picture after getting one.
