Ron, quick question for you. When you did your DIY screen for your theater did you use the Behr Silver Screen or another type of paint and also how happy are you with it compared to a fabric screen. I read you used MDF, any issues with that so far?

Jeremie, I tried several different types of paints, the Behr SS was one of them. Out of them all I am most pleased with the Lowes paint. It's their Valspar Gray Plank Interior Flat (code: 101-21.5, 107-1, 116-1). It's light gray in color.

I first had a cloth screen constructed with the blackout fabric. It worked fine just a bit tough to paint. I then built a bigger screen and decided to use the 1/4" MDF. Much easier to paint and handle, although a bit heavier.

If you roll the paint, use a 1/4" nap roller and load it very lightly and roll tight. That will produce a very smooth surface.
    If...

Ron loves a film = don't even rent.
