Curious about peoples experience with DVI vs Component.

Back when I first got my HD Cable Box I went and (over) paid for a DVI cable since the cable boxes have the output and my TV has the input. Unfortunately I didn't really see a difference in the quality when I went from Component to DVI. I'm now using the DVI on my computer monitor instead (or alternately using it to run the video from my computer to the TV instead of from the cable box to the TV).

How many of you have had the chance to compare them and what was your verdict?

DVI is intended and optimal for pixel based displays (LCD, DLP, LCos ...). I didn't notice a huge difference in quality from component to DVI with a hd tv signal, but from VGA to DVI from my PC its rather noticeable.
