$500 Clock radio, cool.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Maybe if I actually heard one I might be impressed... but I just can't take those things seriously. Even if it sounded really good it would be more appropriate on my desk at work, or for using in hotels when I travel or something.Just... Bonham

I have heard one. My friend has one in his kitchen. While it sounds good for a clock radio, I don't think I'd give what they want for it....
Room filling sound, huh??? Don't think so. -
Whaddya mean????:p

I have a bose wave radio/CD, it is an excelent clock radio.
PS. For my 20 yr aniversary at work, I had a choice of the bose or a crystal vase, it was a no brainer.Win7 Media Center -> Onkyo TXSR702 -> Polk Rti70 -
Anyone else notice that one of the new "features" is no buttons. Everything is controlled by the small remote control. Lose that and you have a $500 clock.
No Thanks,

Looks like they trademarked the word "wave". I suppose we'll see a bunch a frivolous lawsuits in the near future against anything with 'wave' in it.

"It may well become the primary music source in your home"
heheheh .... not here it won't.
Pricy little things too.... 500 usd... *cringe* -
they'd be worth the money if they were closer to the $200 range. Oh wait, it's Bose... it's worth $500. :rolleyes:Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -
I love the idea of a high speed alarm clock, and the look and function of the Bose....but the price tag is utterly ridiculous.
It's insulting for them to price their products like they do, especially to those of us who know better sound is NOT found in Bose.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

I sell bose at my work and got caught having to be PC with a customer today. He actually said "So do you have any other stuff that kicks as much **** as bose or are they really the best **** out there?" He said this while standing in a room with the LSi setup off Denon equipment with a Sunfire sub... Two drops of pee came out.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

It's an amazing marketing machine. They are just doing what any smart business should do - get as much money from perfectly willing customers as you can. How many thouasands of fools have these things at $500 a pop? -

I agree that Bose has to be some of the best marketing I've ever seen.
A close second has to be GM building $50-60K SUVs and making people think they are getting a new and improved version of the original Hum Vees!:DHT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

A lot of people that have a fair amount of money are less than stellar thinkers. Or haven't you noticed?
The Bose Wave Radio goes good with a lot of things. Wine, cigars, golf, tasteful home decor, trendy clothes, SUV's, etc., etc.
It seems to clash with music however.

Best thing about that Bose radio... if you lose the remote, you can't control a gosh darn thing. All of the functionality is on the remote, the credit card sized, little dinky, remote.Brian Knauss
