Got my slightly used LSI9's yesterday and hooked them up to my brand new Yamaha RX-V1500. Ran the YPAO setup and now I have some REAL sound. I have a Hitachi 57" rptv and was only using the built in speakers. If I didn't know it I would swear on a stack of bibles that there was a center channel running also. It was like Stevie Nicks was standing right in front of me! I am going to make this a 5.1 system as soon as the UPS man brings the rest of the goodies over the next month. I cranked it up all the way and the receiver handled it with no problem. I was somewhat concerned about this after reading othe posts. We will see what happens when the other components are added.

To be added:

LSIC
LSIFX
SVS PB12-ISD
Samsung PN60E6500
Denon AVR-E300
Mains: LSI9s
Center: LSIC
Surrounds: LSIFX
Subs: Two Atlas 12's with Rythmik 350W amps in ported 95L box.
Power: Monster 2600 power conditioner

Looks like you've got yourself a nice set-up in the making!! Congratulations! I hope the Yammy will do it all for ya; I suspect it will.

Congrats on your new Yamaha 1500. Glad to read that you really like it. Let us inform more about it. I love my 1400 which is about a year old. Now I run it as a pre/pro, my amps handle all the load, believe me the sound quality is now a true Yamaha Signature Sound.

One note on the calibration though, YPAO is not perfect, it does the good job on setting up the frequencies using the 10-band parametric equalizer but the speaker levels are mainly inaccurate. You'll still need to make some manual adjustments for e.g., setting all speakers to small, crossover at 80hz and for bass sub-out only. Buy a Radio Shack SPL meter and calibrate you system running the internal test-tones. Recently I did it myself and the difference is huge. It is the best tool to get the accurate and perfect sound out of your HT.
