Seperates/receiver

Here is the setup I am in the process of collecting for a 5.1 system that may grow to 6.1:

LSI9 fronts
LSIC center
LSIFX surround
Yamaha RX-V1500

I understand this receiver will work ok with these speakers. I don't plan on any really high volume listening. I was wondering if I can get seperates just for the two fronts so more power would be left to better supply the others. I like the idea of using the Yamaha as my receiver but want to do justice to the LSI's. I was thinking of Outlaw M200's. This is primarily for movies, 80/20.
Samsung PN60E6500
Denon AVR-E300
Mains: LSI9s
Center: LSIC
Surrounds: LSIFX
Subs: Two Atlas 12's with Rythmik 350W amps in ported 95L box.
Power: Monster 2600 power conditioner

I would try separates for the front stage at least. Your LSIfx will benefit from separates as well, but there is just not that much signal going to the rear speakers. If you have alread purchased the reciever I would go ahead and at least use some of the funtionality of it. (at least for the rears)

If you have not purchased the reciever, I would just plan on purchasing a pre-amp and a decent 5 channel amp. (150wpc @ 4ohms would be an excellent starting point more would be better) Then if you want to go to 6 or 7.1 you can just get a mono amp for the center channel (where most of your signal is really going to be located) or a stereo amp for the front left and right) and use your leftover channels from your 5-channel amp for the rear center(s).

I hope this wasn't to confusing, but with the LSi's separates are really the way to go and if you choose to use separates, use them on the channels that will get the most use. (center, front left right, side left right, rear left right in that order)

I just got the receiver and could probably sell it for near what I paid. However, I would like to at least try it and maybe switch in a few months if needed. I also need some time to refill the bank account after all the other goodies I bought. Besides the LSI's I just got a SVS PB10 ISD sub and Monster 2600 power conditioner.

In that case, hook everthing up and enjoy it. When the funds start coming back in, purchase a decent 5 channel amp and use the reciever as a preamp.

When funds come in again, sell the reciever (or put it in another system) and purchase a nice 7.1 preamp.

When the upgrade bug strikes a 3rd time, purchase an additional amp and some speakers. (your choice if it is an LSiC for the rear, LSi7's for the rear or LSi15's for the front moving your 9's to the rear.)

For now, if you want to enjoy the equipment you have, I don't think anyone can fault you for doing it... :)

The UPS man is going to be visiting me several times in the next week with the remaining goodies. Some assembly required.

I also went with Canare 4S11 to biwire the LSI's.

    Thanks for the quick responses.

Hook up your speakers both standard and biwire to compare the two ways and report back. I was thinking of doing a biwire setup myself and would be very interested in your thoughts on it based on what you hear. (any real difference or really about the same?)

    Enjoy the setup.

This is my first HT experience so the change should be quite dramatic. I have a Hitachi 57" rptv and have only had the built-in 30 watts for sound.
