The Smithereens? Who knows...but for 89¢...why not?

Some CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) for 95¢. My daughter has it...I kind of like it and the price is right.

Not a bad haul for $6.63 ($7.23 inc. tax).

That Santana disc sounds horrible. It has been on many of the "worst mastered" lists that I have seen on the internet. The music is great, but they smashed it in the mastering process.

A used book/DVD/CD/Video game store by the name of McKays Used Books. All the discs I buy at these prices are considered "scratched" and therefore marked down pretty cheap. I have yet to have one play flawlessly on my gear.

Well I've given each of these a spin...money (what little it was) and time well spent. therockman was correct about the Santana disc. Ok musically but not up the the stuff from the early seventies IMO. No soul or passion in the music. SQ was typical for many "pop" discs of late. Heavy bass tracks with everything else in the background....not very good.

I knew what to expect of the Avalon and R.E.M. discs and I like them both.

I was plesantly suprised with both The Smithereens and Kenny Loggins. The Smithereens was some very good RnR and Kenny's was not the standard "top 40" fare he seems to be known for. A very well recorded disc and a nice listen.

I love the music on that Santana disc, but for the price you definately got a steal. I live in a little town, so my second hand CD shopping is rather limited.

As I said for me it was just ok. It seemed like they were trying too hard to make a hit CD. I have never been a real fan of groups bringing various guess artists for an entire album. Instead of the "stars" becoming part of Santana it seems more like he adapted to them. This "could" have been a great album but never got there for me. Of course I am biased since it would be hard to ever top Santana and Abraxas followed closely by Carlos Santana and Buddy Miles - Live and Santana (III) in my mind.
