I removed my 10 year old LS 50's from storage and they have small mold spots on the rubber surrounding the woofers. I don't want to damage the speakers in order to get rid of the spots. Can I leave it alone or will it spread and get worse? They sound great and have no other damage. I just don't want to do more harm than good. Any help?

There is a product used in hospitals, etc. for removing mold, but first I would try Windex. Spray it on a soft 100% cotton cloth, then wipe gently in a circular motion. If that doesn't work I'll get the name of the other stuff for you.

I'd give hydrogen peroxide a shot... Very mild disinfectant... that won't attack the rubber...

Be careful of drips "bleaching" out fabrics in the neighborhood...

H2O2 is the stuff blondes are made of... :D
