Have EX 602a polk speakers up front. Think one of my tweeters is "blown"? When a tweeter is blown is their damage to the electronic capacitor or to the actual driver. The tweeter makes a scratchy sound with higher registers. Whats best way to resolve?
As long as there are tests in schools there will be prayer in schools.

    Hi:

Damage is almost always to the driver.Give Polk a call. They will help you.

The components in the crossover are engineered to handle higher capacity current than the actual drivers.

The scratchy noise you refer to is most certainly the coil in the driver as it was either over-extended, indicating being pushed too hard, or the coil shorted against the magnet for whatever reason.

I agree that the guys at Polk can fix you right up!:)
