    Welcome...
As you may have guessed, not a lot of 400 owners here. Call or e-mail Ken Swaugger at Polk CS, and he'll give you some options...

    Thanks Tour2ma. Ken suggested CSi3 and FXi3s.

    Should work...

Just thought of another way to help (look and see what tweeters your 400's have), but again, I could find no info.

If you know what tweeter they have, look through the parts lists for centers and surrounds that have the same tweeter. May well be that Ken's suggestions do, but if they don't, I am sure there are Polk's on the used market that will.

This is especially worth the effort for your center channel... less critical for the surrounds...

    Happy hunting...

For what ever it's worth, here's the technical stuff on my RT400s:

    1 - 7 1/2" Dynamic Balance driver
1 - 1" Dynamic Balance polymer dome tweeter
    Overall freq: 40Hz - 22 kHz
    -3db limits: 50Hz - 20kHz
    Recommended ammplification: 20 - 150 per channel

The AV receiver is a Yamaha RX-V2300, 110W per channel

Really need the model number. Ken will know it, or you can remove one and it should be labelled on the back of the magnet...

Then you can look through here for centers with same tweeter...

    Tour2ma,
Sorry I seem a little dense. I should have thought of removing the speaker. The tweeter model is SL5500. I wil take you advice and see what I can find. Thanks.

I have a pair of RT400s. Not a bad speaker at all. I knew the the model # of the tweeter since I had to buy one from Polk recently. Sats are easy. RT f/x. Each one has 2 of the SL5500 tweeters. I may be wrong but I believe that the CS245 and CS400 (NOT i ) had the SL5500 but I am not sure. Ken would know. Ken was suggesting what is still availble new. At any rate if you can find them used, the CS245 and CS400 should be a relatively good match (even if it does not use the 5500 tweeter) as they were the centers that were sold at the same time as the RT400s.

    From the parts list:
    RT f/x 2x SL5500 MW5806
Can't find anything to confirm the 5500 being in the CS400... unless I pop one out of the CS on top of the TV (needs to be "undimpled" anyway).

    Talk about coincidence...

This AM I just bagged a CS400 w/ a pair of RT f/x's on da 'bay for a below market BIN... They're local to boot.

    sjb,
I'll post what they look like condition wise, and a couple pics here after I pick them up this week.

This just may be your lucky day...

I took Ken's advice and picked up a CSi3 yesterday and thinking (convince wife) about the FXi3s.

    Thanks for all the help.
