Went to see this tonight at the $2 theater.

It aint half bad. The action isnt anything spectacular but there is a hot chick in it.

The story is believable and the plot doesnt have any gaps in it and it moves along nicely. It keeps you wanting to hang around to see how it turns out.

Its no Raiders of the Lost Ark by a long shot but its worth renting. I wouldnt buy it blind tho as it may be a little on the dull side for some.

Its a stupid ripoff of The Da Vinci Code. Its rushed, unintelligent, far-fetched and horrible.

I'm sure many of you will love it though.

    Spoiler Alert!!....kinda....

Ok. Let me get this straight. This ship Charlotte is supposed to be lost for a couple hundred years and this guy finds it through 6 inches of ice? Ummmmm ok. Talk about having to suspend disbelief to enjoy a movie.

This is by far one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time.

Picked it up last week and watched it Sat. night with my daughter. I liked it....a cross between Indiana Jones and The Mummy. Nothing too intense, to violent or too CGI. It kept me interested for the full 2+ hours. I don't care about belivability...it was a fun movie IMO.

Yeah, it doesnt have to be perfectly believable.

I kinda liked it. THere were some dumbass parts but most of hollywoods latest have them.

If you can get past what we call T.E.'s (or technical errors) it is a pretty good movie.

Light hearted, reasonably believable, fun, decent acting, cute chick, credible C.G.
Sure, I'd recommend it as a good to watch.

I finally saw this Sunday night.

It was a fun movie to watch. The acting was about what you would expect in a TV sitcom. Not necessarily Oscar worthy but it was entirely watchable, even Nicholas Cage's "one character wonder" acting fit the movie well. The story itself was pretty cool and they did a good enough job to give you a sense of awe that kept you watching to see what they would find next. The token hot chick was very easy on the eyes too.

Overall, it was quite the cookie cutter movie. What makes it special is that it touches on this legend that not many people know about but apparently has some significance in reality. There was an actual Knights Templar society and many of the locations they referred to in the movie actually exist. I think that is what gave this movie the intriguing aspect. The possibility that that treasure might actually be real and they are showing places that the average guy can identify and recognize sets a tone that will get the average American guy into the movie more than other treasure hunting movies.

Overall, this movie has it all! It has a treasure hunt, it has international espionage, it has government/FBI investigations, it has a great heist, it has a wild story of fame and fortune, it has alot of action, it has a car chase, it has a beautiful girl, it even has a puzzle for the viewer to try to figure out! The best part of all is that it has a basis in reality and that small possibility of being real will fuel an imagination way more than even the best screenplay ever could. Was this an Oscar winning masterpiece? No way, not by a long-shot. What it was though was very fun to watch! The directing was good enough that even though most of the acting was average, the characters in the movie were as much a part of the movie as the story. There wasn't any super fancy special effects, there was no gratuitous sex scene or nudity, there wasn't even any real foul language. There WAS a Ferrari though and that adds a notch to the coolness scale!

I would recommend this movie to anyone under the condition that they go, grab it and watch it and promise to have fun! This is what movies are supposed to be and I had a blast watching it! It's not Indiana Jones, it's not True Lies, it's not Ronin but it is what it is and it's fun for the whole family! It is worth at least a rental if you don't care to own it.
