in-ceiling speakers

help!! we are putting in a theater ststem, but were told that we have no space for in wall speakers and need to put all 5\6 in the ceiling.

Does anyone know if this will be ok as far as sound quality is concerned? we're not true audiophiles, but like our music/movies and want to make sure we have a good sounding system.

I'm thinking about the TC60i's for all 5 plus a standard subwoofer box.

Any insight would be MUCH appreciated!!

    It will be very hard to get good imaging for any source with all of the speakers in the ceiling. Rear speakers would be okay in the ceiling, but the fronts won't sound as good. The tweeters really need to be as close to ear level as possible.

    Can you go with floor standing speakers, bookshelves on stands, or wall mounted speakers? They will provide a better surround experience overall.

    yeah- that's what i figured, we don't really have a choice though. we have a media niche built in with no room for anything else. so i guess it's either knowck down the walls or suffer with sub par sound...
