if you're going just for loud, go for a ported box, at least. if you want sq along with loud, you've picked a good sub, still go ported. if you just want volume, there are better spl subs out there; i think pioneer has a line, i dunno who else, this isn't really my deal.

the amp had better go to 10 hz, and way above 20 kHz, or else you're getting shafted. what do you mean it goes down to 10 hz, the sub? linear response? cause that's pretty damn good... but it really depends upon the box you put it in. again, for spl, go ported, and set the tuning frequency relatively high - say 50 Hz. this will not play deep, and in fact you'll wreck your subs (no matter what kind they are) if you try to play them deep in a ported box. you could go sealed and get pretty low notes, but the lower you want, the quieter it'll be.

If you want sheer SPL I would also go with a ported but that would pretty much require you build it yourself as they have to be tuned to the sub usually. You can stay with sealed, the difference is usually not that much, around 3-5 db.

As far as SPL subs, ID wouldnt be my first choice unless youre going with an ID max.

This is what Id recommend. Go here and check out the P12. Get 2 of those and power them with this MTX amp. I guarantee ya, you put them in the right box and itll smoke most cars out there.

Now if you wanna spend a little more scratch, you can go with the Orion H2. You can go with the 10 or 12 depending on how much you want to spend. Personally I think it would be cool to go with a single H2 10 and push it with this hoss. This way youd be smoking most systems with only a single 10!

if it's not made just for the brahma, don't get it. if you have absolutely no way to do it yourself - i.e. a decent saw and some time, a power drill is good, if not, good forearm strength is a must - consider it (if it's made for the brahma). if you can do it yourself, do that, by all means - you can customize it to your tastes and car much better.

    why ported?

if you cant build your own
    either here:

    or here:

any other premade box will NOT be able to properly house a brahma
