Didn't the PSW1200 come out in 1999 and leave in 2001? What happened to it? Haven't seen many around, nor for sale.

Like putting a 350 chevy motor in a datsun pickup.
Lotsa muscle until the motor shook lose from the frame.
yes, I'll have another cup of coffee,
and leave the bottle.

They kept falling apart.

I heard it was more of a size/price issue than reliability. One of my subs is a psw1200 and while I've been a little disappointed with it's upper limits for volume and lower extension the thing weighs over 110 lbs and is built like a tank. For the 600 I paid at outlet it was a reasonably good deal but if I'd paid anything close to the 1200 it was originally going for I wouldn't have been happy with the cost/performance ratio.

They kept falling apart? What the hell!!!!! This sub kicks major ****! I don't think that it fell into Polk's mass marketing scene. It was in a hard class at a grand. Most Polksters did not kick the $ down for it. I love mine, positively no problems. I think it surely out performs the bass of a psw650. Great for music and movies. The 12's on this thing are built like pro car audio woofers. I think that just the 12's are like $300 each. So when you think about it, they were not a bad price. Will someone at Polk please explain AGAIN the reason for it's short lived production? Love mine!:p

The only thing falling apart here is my damn house. My 1200 has put a crack in my stucco wall. This thing will cause damage, But I love it. The best sub Polk ever produced.

My PSW1200 had his feeling hurt.
I had to defend him so he will keep shaking the house. Hee! Hee!
