Thought I had surround sound...

I have a 5.1 setup (see below) and today I changed out my surrounds -- went from RTi28's to Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds that I got from www.audioadvisor.com for $349/pair (regularly $1,400/pair).

These speakers are awesome: one 6.5" woofer, two 3" midrange speakers, and two tweeters. They come with a pair of white gloves, white lint-free bags tied around each speaker, and a certificate of authenticity signed by the Director of Engineering at Wharfedale (who knows -- the janitor could have actually signed it, but impressive nonetheless).

Popped in T2 and Behind Enemy Lines and was blown away by the improvement in sound.

Aw shucks. Now I gotta watch all my movies all over again.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

"God grooves with tubes."

Awesome! I want to hear the Pacific Evolution and the Opus series very bad. We carry the Diamond line but I figured the boxes would be a lot more brown considering how **** they are. The PE's are the exact same drivers, just a cabinet change... the Opus are a whole new animal which I've heard VERY good things about.
Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
