Polksters,

Has anyone here had any experience with this amp or the ATI brand in general, done some research on it and seems to be a good amp. Onecall has them for 473.00 including shipping, what do you think, worth buying or not.

What do you plan on driving with it? I personally never owned one but they seem to be ok. I know a few people with them and they seem to be happy.

You should look at ADCOM amps... I think they have a few in that class.

I have acquired some ls90's for a 2 channel system, they seem to like alot of power.

Hadn't heard one, but this unit has received excellent reviews on www.audioreview.com. The price is great, too. Go for it before OneCall changes the price.

I own the 1504 (150 x 4channels) and the 1505 (150 x 5 channels) for my HT. These amps are outstanding performers and even better values and received tremendous praise when they were introduced in the late 90's. The only draw back with the ATI 1502 for sale at OneCall (I emailed and verified this) is that they do NOT have auto on features such as music sensors or 12 volt activation. This means that you need to manually turn-on the amp by throwing the "on" switch on the face plate. This could be a draw back for let's say a bedroom system where you want to turn off your pre/pro with a remote and nod off to bed. It looks like the "150" series is being phased out (or already has been) for ATI's more robust offerings. I hope this info helps. Let us know what you decide.

there are switched receptacles out there... and some receivers have them built in as well as the remote line out.
