If you've seen my other thread in this forum you know Im having issues with my existing receiver. Not sure if I want to spend money to fix it or focus the funds on another receiver. Im sure after getting some suggestions from you guys I'll just go with another one.
Anyway, I would love some suggestions on new or used receivers for under $500 (way under if possible since Im on a budget right now.....hopefully in the $300+ range).
Im going to be running some LS90's that I just picked up as well as some satellite surround speakers for the home theatre. I want to run my old monitor 7's but just dont have the room right now.....I may cut holes in the couch to make room for the more important polks;)
Anyway, if you guys come across any good deals Id sure appreciate the help.
Thanks!

The Arcam AVR100 can be had for $450 at audiogon if you're patient (there's one for sale for $425 right now). it is a fantastic sounding receiver if you can do without some bells and whistles.
Outlaw offers a brand new receiver for around $500 which I've read good things about.
Both of these options would give you pre-outs that would allow you to add an amp to your setup.Sony KDL-40V2500 HDTV, Rotel RSX-1067 Receiver, Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray, Slim Devices Squeezebox, Polk RTi6, CSi3 & R15, DIY sub with Atlas 15 -

If you can find Outlaws discontinued receiver somewhere, that is the BEST choice by far- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Also, does anyone know of a good site that rates/reviews recievers? Im kind of the research type so this would help as well.
Thanks!! -

if you scroll down audiogon ads to "research this item" and follow the links it often leads to online reviews of the items for sale.

NF, an excellent receiver with very full features, including automatic calibration and equalization, is the Pioneer 1014. It meets your as little above $300 as possible requirement at several sellers, including here (note, correct weight is about 34 lbs).
