Flash drives? That's a problem. How important is this file?

I bought Easy Recovery Professional from Ontrack for my shop. It does CompactFlash, SmartMedia, flash memory, memory sticks, IDE/ATA/EIDE/SATA/SCSI hard drives, Jaz/Zip media, and floppies. But, it only works if the drive is recognized by the system. It is THE ONLY software I know of that will handle flash memory. It runs $1,500 bucks. The ONLY other option is to send it in for an "in-lab" recovery. That starts at $500 and goes up ($3,000 is not uncommon).

If you want to have a chance to get it back DO NOT use the flash drive AT ALL until the file is recovered.

Tell you what I will do though, send it to me (seriously), and enough money to cover shipping back, and I'll do what I can to get it back to you. I'll run the recovery, put the data on CD-R, and ship it back to you.

Ok, Not sure how to fix that, but Norton may help. (I will try it for you on my UBS drive).

You may know this stuff, but just if you don't know.

Don't put anything on that USB it will put it over the other file. Also don't reformat it.

Sorry Norton doesn't fix any files on USB drive, just harddrives.

I wonder if there is anything on WWW you can down to fix it, I will try this also. I will let you know if I find anything.

Ok, found something that would work, but (there's always a But)

It will cost you $29.97 I tried it, it works but not the trial software.
