Lsiw up in Smoke

Hey every1.......Just purchased Lsi series 9's-fx-C and W about a 2 weeks ago just lovin it! Until got a phone call to unplug the sub and send it back for any other sub from polk, Anybody know what the hell's going on?

    I know there was a problem with the initial batch, but I don't believe it was anything that would require you taking it back at all. I'd send Ken Swaugger at Polk CS an email. He'll get you taken care of.

    There is a circuit board issue on some of the first models produced...

    I believe there is a recall

    At the gathering, we were told that there were problems.

    I would definitely return it ASAP.......

    Yesterday I had a message on my machine telling me to unplug my LsiW and return it to the place I bought it. I thought it was a recall to fix it but when I call Polk back I was told my dealer would help me out. The only thing I was told about the problem is that it’s a safety issue.

    When my dealer called Polk they were told to refund the full amount I paid and were not given a time when the LsiW would be re-released. My dealer has always been very good to me with loaners and letting me do in home test of equipment. They lent me a PSW1200 in the mean time while I decide what I am going to do. I hooked up the PSW1200 and was very unimpressed. It is no match for the LsiW.

    I would like to know what’s Polk’s plan is for the LsiW. I am willing to wait for a fix rather then settle on the PSW1200 or a couple of PSW650.

    I'm amazed that you feel that way honestly. The 1200 is a beast of a subwoofer, and will beat the hell out of any sub that they've released since then.......

    better keep it, It may be a collectors model soon, If polk doesnt reintroduce the lsiW, :D

    Dang to bad, I was starting to consider a new sub after hearing the thump of Disneyjoe's Paradigm at the fest. Well at least Polk cares about us, some companies would have had the lawyers and bean counters figuring out if would just be cheaper to burn a few of us. Remember the Ford Pinto!!!!!!!!!!

    After the problem is resolved maybe we can get some deals on refurbished.:)
