When i connected my 1977 Polk 7A's to my new Pioneer VSX-D510, the left speaker was dead; i crossed the channels, still nothing, same speaker. Tested with D-cell - nothing. I thought the unit might have calved when the lightning took out my Yamaha RX-V490. Suspected crossover or terminations since all drivers in the box are dead, fuses OK. Signed in to the site & forum, no specific troubleshooting advise. Opened the box, 1st time in 24+ years, started with the ohmmeter and D-cell. All drivers OK, didn't find a problem, tried main leads again, and all is well! Must've been a loose wire, may have to find it some day. No mercy for these babies. They've been pushed, hauled, and driven!! ROCK AND ROLL!!
