EEWWWW! I have heard of this rumour before, sounds like BS, pardon the pun. I have also heard some Meyers speakers, I dont care for the sound but they do go loud.

"....while additional protection for those working in close proximity to the subwoofer stack was provided by a box of extra-large Depends."

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

What a crock.......I've been to hundreds of concerts and never had this happen nor heard of anyone that has. A more likely cause would be excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs.

I think I remeber reading that 13Hz at 160db's will make you shat yourself. I guess the uhh, **** thingy resonates or something...

i didn't think rock concerts had accurate enough speakers do do over 120 db at below 20 hz especially with people being so far away.

160 dB at any frequency has the ability to kill you, **** pants or not.

I have seen people become visibly ill at IASCA competitions while vehicles are running down the frequency bands with test tones. It usually happens around the area of 11 Hz and I have been told that the human body will resonate at 11 Hz. If it affects your **** or not is dependant on how your body handles the lack of equilibrium caused by the low frequency. That reaction ranges from dizziness and nausea to incontinence and seizures depending on how loud the noises are.

Right you are, but these were modified to allow them to pay the subsonic frequencies.

I agree with Jstas, I've been sickened being to close to those cars years ago when they demoed with the windows down.

.... plus the Festival seating factor... :D

One thing, hearing protection is not much good against 5 Hz at 120 dB...

Interesting link relating to Jstas's post...

Our gray matter does oscillate at various speeds depending on our state (awake and active, resting, sleeping, etc.) and can be influenced by like external subsonic waves, e.g., nausea caused by seismic tremors...

That's one of the big complaints about the ELF system the Navy uses to communicate with subs. Nausea, headaches, etc, many have reported this who live near the transmission sites.
