Well i upgraded from my adcom preamp, to a Ph/P 850 parasound.. received it today. nice build, heavy, this doesnt have the rack face plate (glad of that) Looks nice.. sounds fantastic. bass is well balanced and shows up when need be, the power cord is huge, removeable which ive wanted.. I mean so much cleaner then the adcom.. and i thought it was pretty nice.. and all for $127.00 bucks + ship... I'm very happy with it to say the least.. in my slow upgrade process of the 2 channel rig.. I think a nice Parasound 1500 amp first of the year is in order.. been drooling over them, and if the quality is what this pre offers i'll be truely set.. and then it will be onto the upgraded power cords for everything...

Faster, you're right about wanting a detachable power cord. I changed out the stock cord on my 850 and realized a noticeable improvement. You gonna get a Signal Cable Magic Power Cord for it?
