Just returned home from a Wynonna Judd concert at a small venue in Falls Church, VA. This lady is an amazing talent!
I'm not really in to country. But, what she does goes way beyond that genre. She performed blues, soul, gospel - and even a little Elvis thrown in for fun. Her band and backing vocalists are top shelf.
Tonight's performance kicks-off her new tour. Catch it if you can.

I heard one of her new songs (a cover) "I Wanna Know What Love Is" and her version is VERY well done.
I can't STAND (hate is more like it) country music, but her vocals do indeed extend well beyond the realm of just country. For most other coutnry artists, that will keep me from listening to a Faith Hill or whatever star of the moment on a regular Pop/Rock station.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
I'd rather catch an Ashley Judd movie!
