Hooked up my RTi10 to my 2-channel system and was pleasantly surprised by what I heard. I expected my Lsi7's to blow them away when it comes to midrange and detail, but the 10's held their own. They sounded almost as good as the Lsi7's. Of course the 10's filled the room with sound, whereas the Lsi7's are more intimate.

One thing I realized is that the bass on the 10's were a bit muddy. When I turned the STF-2 back on, it sounded much better. I did this experiment to see if floorstanding speakers would work in my environment (room size is only 17' x 12'). I liked it, but my wife prefers the smaller sound of the bookshelfs. No need to tell you guys which opinion prevails in my household.:(
