Hi,
Currently, I have RTi6 for Fr L and Fr R and Surround R and Surround L plus CSi5 for the center and 2 PSW505's as subs. Yeah, it sounds pretty awesome.
I plan on upgrading my amp to a 200 WPC (maybe Sherbourn 5/5210A).
I recently auditioned a pair of LSi9s at Tweeter. Hummmm, I'm thinking about replacing the Front L & R speakers with the LSi9s...cause they sound sooooo good.
Can I do this? I know the 9s are 4 Ohm and the 6s are 8 Ohms. Any problem here?
thx...Marcus

Not really, but you may have timbre matching issues with the Csi5. Before you do so, compare the Lsi7 to the Lsi9. Some people, including myself, don't hear enough difference in the two to justify the additional cost, especially for HT use.
If you listen to music a lot through your HT system, I say give the 9's a whirl, but if it's mainly for HT, keep what ya got.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I have the RTi6's and LSi7's. I like the 7's a lot more than the 6's. There is just a lot more detail to me. If you are worried about timber matching issues, then sell the CSi5 and get the LSiC. If you can, bring home the 9's or 7's and compare them to your current setup to see if there would be a significant difference.
All up your preferences.Tschüss
