BUY EM!!! as long as they are in perfect working order...
of course, then you will want to get the matching center and surrounds. more money out of your pocket...:D -
Thanks Juice,
Actually I have the complete setup now but always looking for a good deal.
RT800i
CS400i

man, you don't even need them, but that is a hard deal to turn down...:D

ou could allways yse the subs and sell the tops i was looking at my cc and they wast 1000 for a botom of the 3000p
-
yeah, i would love to pair the bottoms with my rt800i's, but the best my local CC could do was $800, just for the bottoms, and they were in pretty poor cosmetic shape. at least i have my HSU on the way...:D already thinking about getting a second as well...

I had a pair of 3000's, had 'em for 3 days.
One of the subs began to overheat, so I returned the whole works. They were open box to begin with.
I recently saw another OB set at Goodguys,
best deal I could've gotten would have been, $1400.
Clearly the 3000's are the most powerful, full,
and rich sounding current Polk speakers I've heard But...
currently I'm running 1000's front, with dual psw450 subs, and I'm pretty happy so......
I didn't get 'em.
But for $1000.
I'd be having a serious talk with
myself all over again.

Upon further inspection I disovered that the bass on one of the subs was cracked and the best they would do was $1200.00. I'm always looking for a good deal but these turned out to be pretty beat up. I am happy with my current set up but now I have to get rid of a pair of r40s, and cs245 and an avr1601 all of which are only about 6 months old and still under warranty. I guess my loss is my friends gain. I'm sure by the end of the year none of their wifes will speak to me again, as if I've ever heard anything they have said anyway!

Hello Hunter;
I was thinking of gettig the VRS micros for my surrond since the f/x 300 look too big for my room. My other option is that keep the f/x300 for L/R surrond and vrsmicros for rear centers.
Whats your suggestion?Lsi9s front
LsiC center
artison surrounds and surround back
Panny XP30 DVD player
HD-DVD - Toshiba HD-A1
B&K 507
SVS CS Ultra (powered by samson 1000)
Pioneer 503CMX plasma
Panny PT-AE900U proector
Lumagen HDQ video processor
Monster HTS 5100

Hey Demamsa,
Both the vrs micro and vrs pros dissappear when mounted to a wall or ceiling. If you can find a good deal on the pros I would get those because they have larger drivers and can be placed farther away from the seating area. The micros are the same design as the pros but smaller and would be better suited for a smaller room with placement closer to the seating position. The VRS Pros are discontinued but you might be able to find some at G.G. open box for a couple hundred a pair. -
Hunter, are the 3000's listed at the beginning of this thread still available?
If so ... and you're not planning to buy ... where are they located?
