Are there new construction mounting brackets available for the Polk RC-80i ceiling mount speakers?

Anyone have experience with this model? I am building a multi-room sound system and need a pair of speakers for each room, ten rooms total.

Thanks
Eric

    Hello Eric,
Yes, there are "rough in" kits available for all of our in-wall/in-ceiling speakers. In the majority of cases the same dealer who sold the speakers can also sell the kits. Keep in mind these kits really don't have anything to do with the actual mounting of the speakers. They function as "place holders", meaning they are installed between wall/ceiling studs and indicate where the future speaker will be mounted. Many dry wall contractors require something to indicate where the openings for electrical outlet boxes, lights etc are to be made in the dry wall. This is exactly what the "rough in" kit does lets the construction crew know where something is mounted.
    Regards, Ken

I would think that the brackets may afford a more sturdy mounting as well, no?

Also, will the PB80 mounts also work with the other 80-series speakers?

I am debating whether to first buy one pair each of both the RC80i and LC80i, and determine how worth while it is to spend the extra $$$. 12 rooms will add up quickly!!! Maybe a few rooms will receive the better speakers if the performance is enough to justify the cost.
