Just curious if anyone has had any experience with these remotes?
The Sony RM-AV2500 and RM-AV3100
I'm looking to pick up a single remote to do as much as possible on my entire living room setup (receiver, tv, cable, dvd, cd, etc, etc).

Yeah, I had one, but didn't like it, so I returned it. Not very fond of the screen thing. I like buttons. Check out the Harmony remotes. For less than the price of the Sony's, you can get one that you program via a computer. It's on my wish list.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Ah, excellent. Thanks for the tip. Gives me another remote that actually looks even more what I'm looking for (i.e. the ladies in the house can never figure out my system... so the "watch a movie" button feature will make them happy). And the ability to program it via the computer sounds a heck of lot easier.Just... Bonham

An excellent site to check out is www.remotecentral.com. It has more info than you'll ever need for just about every remote out there.Brian Knauss

Heh, the web site says to do a 'test drive' before you buy to see if you like them. I sure hope the remotes work better then their web site... because it almost appears as if the 'test drive' is merely a way to get info on you and I never did get it to work. :mad:Just... Bonham
