RTi70 power upgrade question:
I'm currently powering my RTi70's with an HK AVR630-75 watts per channel. I now am thinking of getting a used Adcom 555-200 wpc. Will these speakers respond well to the additional power, or am I wasting my time?

I have the Rti 70 also. When hooked to the amp 3, the 70 sounds warmer than just hooking the 70 to the Denon 3803 receiver.

I forgot that I had the H/K 525, which is similar to your receiver, same result.

Sorry, typed too fast and forgot to put down the whole name. I have an Audiosource Amp 3 @ 150 w x 2 @ 8 ohm RMS.

Yes, get the Adcom. It's worth it. Different Eric. I had a Velo CHT15 until 2 months ago, now have a SVS PB12Plus/2. Great sub.

Thanks King. The PB12Plus/2 is actually more sub than I need (3600 cu. ft. room too). I run the gain on 4 (40%), but have the output on the AVR set to -8, plus I'm cutting 6db more on my Rane eq. If I set the gain lower, say down around 25%, I think sound quality of the sub suffers. To coin an old two stroke phrase, gotta get the sub amp up on the pipe!

No, but I've got an Anthem MCA-3 on the way. 170wpc x 3. Can't wait to hook it up.
