It depends on what you are looking for. Ebay is a great place to start, as are "Flea Market" areas of the various forums on the WWW. Stay away from the HT specialty stores whether they're online or B&M stores. They are so overpriced, it's disgusting what they charge!!

Are you trying to put together a "Themed HT" or just looking for whatever might catch your eye?

We don't really have a theme in mind and are more just looking for things that catch our eye.

Hey, I've got some acoustically conducive, phased array, digital ready, non-linear delay, mass-loaded, high definition "picture frames" I am looking to get rid of. Guaranteed to look good while giving your boosting your system's output to 130 db, while making your $20.00 digital amp sound like a $20,000 tube setup, and they will make your room acoustically perfect.

All sizes start at $45,000 and up retail.

BUT, I got 23 pair at a local electronics store on a killer deal. Looking for $350 per pair. I have them in cherry and ebony veneer. :D;)

Okay, that's a place to start. I'd suggest looking at some other HT's for some ideas that might work for you. There are a bunch here that might give you a couple of ideas. After you spot something....Google the item or send a PM to the HT owner and see if they can tell you where they got it from.

FrankZ is WAY too modest. Click on the "My HT" link in his post up above for a fabulous setup with tasteful decor and marvelous movie memorabilia - pardon the unintended alliteration :D

    BlueMDPicker,
Thanks for the compliments! We like it and hope others get a kick out it as well. Actually been thinking about repainting in the near future.

Picking out the right stuff can be pretty simple, you just need to get some basic ideas and then search away.

The wife and I made some nice acoustic panels. They give you that theater look and help with the sound. Very easy to make. You can actually make them different sizes to accomidate your room. The hardest thing is deciding on the fabric and getting enough of it.
