oven light

My wife and I where baking apple pies over the weekend for thanks giving and our oven light is dead....do we need to replcae it with an actual oven light or will any 40W bulb do ? not sure if oven lights are just a marketing gimmik ?

You need an "appliance bulb". It is similar but smaller than the standard size bulb. Wallmart, sears etc
