Some idiot just paid WAY too much for some Marantz MA-500 mono blocks. It was one of those dutch auctions for 2 of them and I bet he thought he was getting both of them for the bid price not one! LOL what a loser.....what a minuite, that was me! DUH!

It has been one of those weekends for me. I should have jumped on the 3 for 475 at audiogon but I didn't. Then I saw this auction, at $210 thinking it was for both amps. Now I knew what a dutch auction was too, so I have no idea what I was thinking. Oh well, you live and you learn I guess.

Sure, but look what you saved in shipping... ;)

Take it from a guy who jumped all over a Dynaco auction thinking it was ST-70, PAS 4 and FM3 when it was really ST-70, PAT4 and FM3... You are not alone...

Could not for the life of me figure out how I won it so cheaply...

I won 2 mono blocks, the amount I wanted. What I messed up was the bid price is per mono not for the pair. So I won 2 at a price of $216 each, which I though was per pair so I expected to be outbid about a minute before the aution and watch it shoot up to $300+! So in the end I paid about $35-$40 too high per monoblock! LOL So I paid $434 for 2, when I could have bought some from audiogon for $475 for 3 a few days before!

anyway, I have a pair of RT10s, RTi8s, and RTi6s that are just sitting around. I'm thinking of using my multi room feature pre-outs (I think I have them) for a computer rig with RTi6s running off the monoblocks. But then I'd never play Doom3 again so I'm not sure:D
