Sold by our one-time, part-time member WardsWeb (full time AK honcho). Had a listen at these in the course of a very plesant evening at his home as I am sure RuSsMan and maybe a couple others did.

How were they, you ask?
First, I'll say that the set up was not optimal (too far apart for one thing). They sounded OK... nothing special by today's standards. Neither end of the frequency spectrum was up to what we enjoy. Mid's were very silky, however. Comparing them to what you're playing now is not the point.

They sounded great compared to most of their contemporaries in the days before the acoustic suspension designs of Kloss. Very rare, very collectable, as witnessed by their winning bid...

They looked every bit as good as they do in the pictures...
