So...
Who ever just tears down their system for a deep, thorough cleaning?
Today I unplugged everything and wiped all the dust off of em that has ecumulated from the last deep cleaning which wasnt to long ago (7 months maybe?) ---
I also moved a few things and did a bit better wire management...
Who else does this every once in a while?
I mostly do it regurally to get rid of the sheatrock dust that still floats around on my room, the dust has cut down quite a bit as of late...

I do it everyonce and awhile too, mostly to clean out the ports, the subwoofer ports collect cobwebs, funny eh? I'm gonna replace that thing someday...

I switch out my gear fairly often. When I do switch something out I like to give the RCAs and speaker wire ends a little going over with steel wool. Sometimes I just pull my speaker wires off to cut off the ends and strip some fresh copper. I run a CD/DVD laser cleaner once in awhile.
The strange thing is that even if I just pull off the knobs and give them a good washing (just the knobs - not down into the swtiches or pots) it sounds better to me when I'm done.Make it Funky! -
after I rip it apart I dunk it in armour all.... sounds so good after that.

I use Swiffer on my equipments and speakers about once a month. I open them up about once a year and give them a good spray of compressed air.
