Ever run a polk sat/sub system without a sub?
I got the inlaws a RM6700(believe me I tried to talk them into a full system) off ebay,
it didn't come with a sub.
And I won't have one, until I receive the one Shack is sending.
I was thinking of hooking up the system for them as is, until the sub gets here.
I'm thinking it can't sound worse than the tiny speakers on their TV, yet the tv speakers are full range speakers, not just mids and highs.
What do you think, Will it sound like hell?

I don't think that full range only means a speaker that produces treble, mid, bass......because let's be honest, a TV speaker is NOT going for bass, and doesn't have the capacity to sound 'bigger' than it really is......
ANYTHING will sound better than just the speakers built into your set......just add a sub when you get a chance, but it will sound just fine.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
as this is for the inlaws I wanted it to sound good the day I install it for them. I thought about waiting until the sub gets here...
but yeah what the hell, I'll hook it up for them tomorrow, and add the sub. later
when it gets here.

I would assume it depends alot on the TV speakers. Single driver/full range speakers often excel at dialogue, vocals, most acoustic instruments, etc. Throw in a crossover and things get wacked. This transition is less apparent at higher volumes, but htis is also where FRs can't cut the mustard anyways.Make it Funky!
