Saw this one earlier today. Not bad, imo. Pretty good blend of action/suspense, drama, humor, and romantic ****. Recommended.

My g/f saw it Wed (early showing preview kinda deal) and she absolutely loved it. Said it was one of the best movies she's seen in a long time. She said she wants it on DVD when it hits the stores first thing, and she NEVER wants to own a dvd. it's a waste in her eyes.

Ha ha. That says it all. The only role he ever did well was playing a stupid kid in the 70's comedy show Welcome Back Kotter.

Soooooo, worth to own or rent? It comes out this Tuesday...

I haven't seen it, and I thought backdraft was decent.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

IMO, Ladder 49 was better than Backdraft, so it *may* be worth a blind buy for you if you enjoyed Backdraft. On the other hand, I could also see renting it first and if it knocks your socks off, just buy it while it's $5 cheaper than it will be next week.

no... my g/f likes a few chick flicks but she's every bit into "man movies" as I am. If she had her choice, she'd rather watch a scary movie over a chick flick any day of the week. She pretty well rocks. :D
