are they any good, how are their internal amps say compared to yammy ?

the reason I ask is cause they are selling off a sr5400 and it has preouts (somethign I want) would it be worth while selling of the yammie or trading it ?

I've had an SR5000 for about 4 years now and she is still running strong, gets fired up almost daily. Used it first to power the HT and now has moved to the whole-house rig. Very clean sound, crisp, good mid range. I would recommend Marantz although I am not too savvy on their latest line up.

I have the 8200 + upgrades and I like mine. I run 4 ohm speakers just fine.

Great old name from the 60's/ 70's that fell into the toilet for a couple decades, but has been climbing back to respectability for a while now.

Harmon Kardon and a couple other former greats followed a similar reputation cycle.
