There's only a few Cradle fans here (Scottvamp, me and a few others) but I thought I'd let you guys know the new album is out in stores! I'm so f#cking excited. I'm leaving for work early tomorrow so I can stop by the music store. I checked out the sample mp3 ("Gilded C*nt) from their site and it kicks serious ****.

    Airplay,
Well, I went to the store on Thurs only to find out it's been delayed until Oct 5th here. Not sure about the US release. Picked up Amon Amarth's new release and it's awesome. Amazing viking metal! If this is going to be your first experience with Cradle, I suggest picking up "Dusk and Her Embrace" or "Cruelty and the Beast". Great albums to get you started in the twisted world of Cradle:).

    Tour,
LOL:D Believe it or not, black metal sounds killer on tubes. I've been to quite a few shows and the tubes really make them sound more like the live shows. Many of them are very well recorded.

But I love my softer stuff with tubes. Nothing beats Queen on tubes. Gave it a shot with a SS amp a few weeks ago and the 'feeling' and emotions were gone.

I went through a Cradle phase, especially when Midian came out. After listening to Danni Filth's voice for an hour though, it get's quite painful. I prefer Dimmu Borgir for that genre... although I prefer they're middle albums more than the latest stuff.

    bk,
LOL. Man, I can't get enough of Danni! I love his vocals. I've been a Cradle fan for over 4 years. I was worried about this new album because I wasn't impressed with "Damnation and a Day" but this new album is just amazing. A mixture of new and old Cradle. Really brings back the feeling from their older releases. And the production is the best. Guitars rip your ear drums and the drums hit you like bricks! You should give it a try, his vocals is not as high pitched as previous releases.

I enjoy Dimmu Borgir but IMO they've gone downhill after "Enthroned Darkness Triumphant". Shagrath's screams are amazing though.
