Just got my LSi 9's and LSiC today and I got a question?

On the center speaker, voices comes from the right woofer but not the left. Only bass comes from the left. Is this normal?

On the mains, voices comes from the top woofer but not the bottom. Is this normal?

yes this is normal, the lsic crossover is setup so one woofer gets different frequencies then the other. one member didn't like this so he switched the crossover with that of an lsi9 so the woofers got the same frequencies.

Kinda correct. The 9's also use a cascading crossover, but it is different from the crossover in the C's. Some folks do prefer the 9's crossover mounted in the LSiC, but it's not manditory.

Thanks guys...First time that I owned polk speakers. Wasn't sure what to expect. But hey, they do sound darn good for bookshelf speakers.

Polk centers (most of them) use a Cascade Tapered Driver Array
Information on the CTDA is in the link below...

    http://www.polkaudio.com/home/technology/cascade.php?category=21&speaker=162

    The LSi9 is a 2.5 way.

Here are the crossover points of the LSi9

    Driver 1: LPF at 200Hz 12dB/oct,
    Driver 2: LPF at 2.4kHz, 12 dB/oct.
    Tweeter: HPF at 2.4kHz 18dB/oct.

Yes the LSiC does exactly what you say! If listening at normal or louder level it works great. If listening at lower levels (late night )
It begins to get hard to hear the lower dialoug. It drove me nuts for a while & I have since replaced the xover with a LSi9 x over & replaced the wires from the binding post to the board with better cable, & lastly added MiHorns to the speaker & Im happy with the preformance of the LSiC now. Heres a link to some pics. http://www.ezconnection.org/ezcsystem.htm the lsi pics are about half way down the page. Need to remember with the LSi9 Xover the low driver will still not be active all the time the mid high driver is active but it will be more than the c xover.

    Thanks for all the info

I never watch movies late at nite, so i'm not worried about low volume. But I do watch'em at loud or louder volumes during the day, and I will say that the center speaker has no problems keeping up with the higher volumes. That goes for the LSi9's as well. Thanks again
