The LSI's have been around for a while now (about 3 years i think). Does anyone know of any plans for Polk to release new LSIs or a new high end speaker series in the near future?

Yeah, they upgraded their cosmetics right before they went into Tweeter (maybe six months ago???), so my guess is that I wouldn't expect an overhaul anytime in the near future.

My understanding is that the edges are a little more smooth now, and the cherry is a little more cherry like.....

Fireshoes posted some pics not that long ago....

They went from a veneer/vinyl type deal to a painted on high gloss finish, the power port is also high gloss....

Frank...that isnt always true...if you ever get a chance to to hear...

The original RT line, the RTxxi line, the RTixxx line, and the current line... you will see exactly what I am talking about ;)

I had a pair of RT12's & RT16's, and I checked out each new line that Polk came out with over the years and never heard anything that made me want to trade them in. Not until the LSi15's that is.

An RTi8 and RT16 / RT12 side by side comparison would be interesting.

    That was my point...

I (at one time) had the RT5, RT35i, and RTi70 all in one room...

Lets just say...the RT5 was the last one to leave....

    Don't fix whats not broken
