I did feed the 7's too much power and as a result I have blown midrange driver. It's a 5 1/4" driver with Polk MW5534 (RD5534) on the label. I will most likely move these into surrounds and another pair of 7's for mains. I will not repeat the same mistake with these but now I will have to find something to replace the midrange drivers with. Search on internet or Polk website didn't yield any result for MW5534 or RD5534.

    Hey Sami, that's a bummer......

How much power are you giving those 7's? I was wondering if you were just listening to some nusic for a period of time or if maybe the volume was bumped.

Maybe Polk has some replacement drivers

2 * 500W was a bit too much. This was 2 channel and someone had access to the volume knob before I could intervene. The amp is for my RTi150's and they can handle the power with no problems but LSi7's are a different story.

    Hello,
You would remove the 5.25" driver and send it to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154. Please include a short note giving us your name and address and a copy of your sales receipt and we'll replace it under warranty.
    Regards, Ken
