...is it so expensive to get your bike tuned?
it was $40 in corpus christi and $50 here at college station...
how much work actually goes into that?
seems like BS to me...but i dunno....

Need to keep those bearings greased for a long life and smooth operation. Also want everything nice and tight so the darn thing doesnt fall apart on the road. Maybe they align the wheels too....you know..tighten the spokes one at a time to realign the wheel....look silly with wobbly wheels. Sort of like maintenance to a car only a lot cheaper! Somebody has to do it if you dont.

Just past bicycle repair experience when I was a kid. Had to do it myself as no one else would and I did not drive the newest model on the block.

Buy a repair book, and a few special tools....save yourself that headache. The only thing I don't do is true my wheels....for now :)

Just like an oil change. If you don't want the hassle...pay someone else to do it. If you want to save a few bucks...do it yourself.
